Monopoly GO What Happens to Extra Stickers When an Album Ends
If you have been rolling your way through the current Monopoly GO season, you’ve probably accumulated a massive stack of duplicate stickers. With the album deadline always looming, a big question always pops up in the community: What actually happens to my extra stickers when the album ends?
The short answer is that they don't just sit there, but exactly what you get for them depends on how your album experience ends. Let’s break down the two distinct scenarios so you don't lose out on valuable rewards. Scenario 1: You Complete the Album Early (Unlocking Prestige) If you manage to collect every single required sticker before the overall seasonal timer runs out, congratulations! Your reward is unlocking the Prestige Album, which lets you play through the sets again for even higher rewards. When you transition into a Prestige Album, here is what happens to your duplicates: The physical cards disappear: All your duplicate sticker cards are wiped clean. This means you can no longer trade or gift those specific individual cards to your friends or partners. The star value carries over: Don't panic—your hard work isn't totally lost. While the visual cards are gone, the "star value" (the total number of stars your duplicates were worth) stays safely inside your vault. You can use these accumulated stars right away to open vaults and give yourself a massive head start on the Prestige sets. Scenario 2: The Seasonal Album Timer Completely Ends This is the big reset. When the countdown clock for the entire sticker season hits zero and Scopely rolls out a brand-new themed album for everyone, your leftover stickers undergo a total conversion. Here is how the game handles your leftover stars when the season officially shuts down: Automatic dice conversion: Your accumulated stars are automatically cashed in and transformed into Dice Rolls to kickstart your next album journey. The conversion cap: You'll want to watch your numbers here. The game caps this automatic conversion at 700 stars, which nets you a maximum of 750 dice rolls. If you have 1,500 stars sitting in your vault when the clock strikes zero, any stars beyond that 700 limit simply vanish into thin air without giving you extra dice. Pro-Tips to Maximize Your Leftovers To make sure you get every bit of value out of your duplicates, keep these strategy tips in mind as you approach the finish line: 1. Gift before you lock it in If you know you are just one card away from completing your album, hold off on claiming it until you check your inventory. Take a few minutes to gift or exchange your rare 4-star and 5-star duplicates to friends, community members, or an alternate account. The second you accept that final missing card, those duplicates lock up and turn into raw stars, meaning you can no longer share the wealth. 2. Burn through your excess stars If the entire season is about to end and you are sitting on way more than 700 stars, do not let them go to waste. Since anything over 700 won't yield you any extra dice automatically, go ahead and manually open a lower-tier safe (like the 250-star vault) a day or two before the deadline. This lets you grab extra sticker packs and dice manually, ensuring your surplus stars actually do something for you. |
